I recommend anyone, scientologist, Anon, non-scieno, anti-scieno, ex-scieno, critic, whatever, to read "The Pilot," a scientologist who wants and is anonymously calling for reform within the 'church.' He's not with the freezone, he says and he does not agree with current mgmt., either. He also says how from the 50's to the late 60's (he got in, in '66) there was no 'secrecy' about any of this.

It is true, you can pick up a book like "Have You Lived Before This Life" or "History of Man" or listen to taped lectures, and find all kind of space opera that's not "confidential."

So what are they protecting then? They're only safeguarding, not technology -there's an HCO PL (Hubbard Communication Office Policy Letter) by that name: "Safeguarding Technology"- they're protecting their profits. How many would pay hundreds of thousands to "learn" this tripe? It's not even good science fiction.

I am the biggest anti-theist there is. I detest Scientology and L Ron Hubbard. I think the basic assumptions of Dianetics directly contradicts all the evidence with respect to psychology and neurophysiology...but I don't think it should be banned. It should definitely be reformed and forced to be transparent, but people are free to read and believe whatever they wish.

Yes I know, and that's one of the things I think should be reformed. If you really think about it, Islam and Catholocism has an implicit intention within its scriptures to dominate the world through government or as government. It's the same story with Scientology, and I think it could some day be neutered into a harmless fringe religion.

Yes but Catholicism has about 2000 years of track record behind so that counts for its credibility, also you don't have to pay any money to go into a church or learn the catechism. Also what Catholics believe in common knowledge, believe it, critique it or whatever it is not shrouded in secrecy.
