it's wasn't an ils landing, you can tell from the indicator. but you can definitely do an ils in a pmdg 747, just set up the FMC

it is very VERY hard to fly and to get used to if your a new fsx pilot im still having trouble operating the fmc its not that its broken its that its a very complicated plane

The landing was done by himself. Its pretty obvious since he was a bit high on short final and the touch down was a bit behind the actual touch down zone. This is pretty normal since its damn hard to do a perfect landing during a thunder storm. What you mean is the approach which maybe was done by the ILS (there are different ways to get to the airport ;) )

nobody noticed that "perfect" landing was too fast when touching down? Hardly any Flaps visible.

And, on the PFD there is no ILS active, and he is only using the auto speed management.

No perfect landing, but a nice sim-vid indeed.

He didn't do that landing... it was ILS (instrumental landing system). Using radio systems, the plane can track the airports glideslope (horizontal location) and localizer (heading location) to line the plane up with the runway. I think he disabled it alot though. Great work though.

The effects are only in FS9, and come with the PMDG. No effects for FSX im afraid.

Thats the problem with replay in outside view. They do not show lowered flaps.

FSX has so much glitches. A lot of them might be fixed now. My FSX game has a lot of glitches because I got it first day.

i have this pmdg add on and its installed, but when im on fsx and i try to turn for example it does turn, but it dosent show it, so for example when i use the rudder, i cant actually see the rudder moving on the plane, and when i do flaps, the flaps do take effect but it dosent show it, so its like its a photo image and what ever i do takes effect but isnt showed

One of the great advances in FSX is the rain actually looking like rain (and of course the wipers from PMDG). I love the side view shots as you travel thru, and with light bloom on and graphics up it's super sweet!
