I really wanted to buy apollo 18 for £12.97p in tescos the other day, But instead i bought the new film Troll hunter which was a real blast of a film, BRILLIANT but it did get boring, its one of those films with the dodgy camera though so if your not into blair witch shit don't get it, I do like the idea that films get you to believing its real by simply putting based on a true story on the dvd, So that's why i want apollo 18, i think blair witch on the moon would be great atleast she can fly :)

Rise of thePlanet of the apes was pathetic, "Cesar is home" had me and the whole theater laughing... Come on the fact that cesar gains the ability to think like a human after being born from a chemicaly enhanced chimp was a great idea but no matter how much gas he injects himself afterwards there is NO way that this would affect his vocal chords or the ones of the other apes, if they had made a jump forward in time and showed talking apes that would have been more logic.

A huge problem with Apollo 18 (asside from the billions of other problems) was that when they found the dead astronaut on the moon, he was decomposed and looked like he had died years ago. When in reality his body would be perfectly preserved and look as though he had died earlier that day. There is no life on the moon, so no bacteria to decompose a body.

The Hangover 2 its just one of the funniest movies i've seen in the last few years. One would think that one movie is enough, but this sequel is as good as the first one, maybe even better. It definitely uses the same kind of technique that the producers used in the 1st one. This movie will make you laugh more than you think it will. 10/10

I've never seen Apollo 18 but I've been meaning to; it looked cool from the trailers.

I would seem that like Pearl Harbor, that had an absolutely amazing trailer but was ultimately a fairly lackluster movie, Apollo 18 doesn't live up to its hype.

I personally thought transformers 3 was terrible. It was bland and boring, felt like watching the first 2 movies over and over. Nothing in the movie had me on the edge of my seat, the movie didn't impress me in the least. I'd give it a 4/10, frankly, the only reason the rank is that high is because of visual aspects. I'd rank "rise of the planet of the apes" higher then transformers. At least POTA was a fun and interesting movie.

How is 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' a remake? The 'remimagining' was a remake, if anything, 'Rise of...' is a sequel to the original series.

Personally, I don't take Burton's Planet of the Apes as canon, due to my opinion above, but 'Rise of' is the prequel to the original films, that would be: the originals from the 70s and 80s.

@Gallifrey103 I don't really know anything about the series, but I think that during the movie a spaceship launches into space (you can also see it in a scene) which has Captain Leo Davidson (Mark Whalberg) in it, then he lands on a planet full of intelligent apes, when he returns to earth the apes took over. What made sense to me that this was happening during the 2001 movie, because a disease occurs and makes everyone die, except the apes. I am bad at explaining things though. lol

Actually I really enjoyed Apollo 18, for many of the same reasons you didnt!

I enjoyed the Blair Witch Project too though.

Im also a fan of the Right Stuff era astronauts so I enjoyed that aspect too.

Overall a nice neat haunted house movie with satisfying spookiness and cool Cold War space tech authenticity, even if the actual monster couldve been more interesting.
