Well personally i wouldn't get them because of speed it took 2 of them to add the weight in about 15-20 seconds while power blocks take 10 seconds to change weight on both thats my reasoning....And with bow flex since i am a teenager the extra width is crucial and the fear of a plate falling on my foot or face scares me =p so there you go...
@GreekGotSwag I probably wouldn't go off the speed it takes Lee to change plates. a) the guy loves having a chat b) when you lift that much weight you aren't in a hurry between sets.
Ive got this set and the IMO2000 its a fantastic kit. I bought it from Valleyfitness UK for £1500 with lots of other add ons, really great kit. Would recommend it to anyone.
@rock962000 Hey man they are expensive cause they are QUALITY. You will get years of use out of them. Mine are over 7 years old, sit on my balcony and are still going strong.
Lee mentioned getting the DBs up to 160, and that's true, sort of: The upgrade gets them up to 120, the special-order non-quick-lock screws safely get you to 160, (and, *not recommended*, can tentatively hook up a 196 lb single dumbbell!).
Lee Priest really does an A1 job of showing how compact and well built the Ironmaster dumbbells are. He shows his other dumbbells that take up much more room, and do not go as high in weight.
He could have shown how the Ironmaster bench adjusts the angle quickly and easily. But it's too high! He couldn't even touch his feet to the ground!
A bench only need to be a few inches higher than the ground for adequate clearance on dumbbell presses, handy of you need to drop them.
i wonder if u guys can make a vid with those dumbells for a full back workout and leg workout cuz i need to know more excercises i can do cuz all i got are the dumbells. thanks

Favorite part is around 8:16: Lee Priest working out to "Like a Virgin". So awesome.

lee has a fantastic smooth motion for pressing... even when his working hard his form is great and it looks effortless.

Prefer the powerblocks, which seem faster as you don't need to load plates on each side.
lgarvey 9 months ago
@lgarvey
I was thinking the same thing. The PowerBlocks are VERY sturdy, and the box shape that people complain about is a non-factor for me.

Do you also have the same issue with the weights not weighing exactly. I have a pair of the 75 lbs and they weigh 72 and 71.5.
