The evo driver was terrible. Stock evo put around 230ish to the wheels. Stock Srt4 have been known to do the same. Stage 1 would put the neon at a decent advantage but the race would have been much closer. Once again, just a guy that can't drive his evo.

The stock evo thru drivetrain loss puts it at roughly 250 to the wheel. I know this for a fact, on my second evo, but tuned and dyno'd. So Mopars stage 1 puts it at roughly 250 as well. Both going WOT, going by those numbers, the evo should've lost by only a car length or so due to power to weight ratio, but not as much as he did.

@typemgtst 215 on paper, I know for a fact on my first evo, pure stock and factory tune on a street dyno it dyno'd at around 250. With intake/exhaust/tune/mild272's/­walboro it jumped up to 340/330 to the wheels using 3rd gear pulls.

The only reason this guy won as much as he did is because as I stated Evo had a horrible driver and the skittle had more mods than mentioned.

you guys need to learn your cars... SRT-4 and the Evo 8 have the same turbos, yes the same turbos, the SRT-4 has the Evo 8's turbo under the hood. Dodge bought them and used them they can put out the same PSI.... The Evo 8 will get better launch but the SRT-4 will caught it, and since the SRT-4 was stage one it has alittle bigger injectors and a low upgraded ecu (which really isn't stage 1 but people say it is). That will Help the launch and caught up which is why he beat him.

Just for everyone, the stage one mod in the SRT-4 doesn't do much in an 03 it makes it comparable to a 04-05. 04-05 SRT-4 also have LSD so they could launch better yet.

don't buy the SRT-4 cause it will then be harder to modify it since it's front wheel drive and btw, don't forget that the Evo in this video was slower because the SRT-4 has mods, if it wouldn't have them, the Evo would have smoked it since it's 4 wheel drive and has launch control and more hp than the SRT-4 and people that know what they are doing buy Evos so it's your choice but i'd go for an Evo and Evo's don't cost $40,000, the MR edition costs $36,000, RS costs 30,000 the IX costs 32,000

dude, there is no way that your SRT beat him fair man. the evo is like 276 HP with 274TQ, or sumthing around that, your SRT at best, and ive dyno tested 4 stock SRT dose 240 sum for TQ and 230 HP. Im telling you, the evo driver fucked up, you beat him on technical error. All power to you, good job no joke, but if you find a driver as good as you, the evo is gonna win, if were talking 2 stock cars. So GOOD WIN!!!

...idiot.. the SRT-4 was underrated by dode for insurance purposes. the car makes 250 crank HP, and 270 crank TQ. the evo makes 6 more HP then the srt's TQ. also the EVO is a heavier car waaay heavier off the line the EVO is quick, but in motion they suck. . . i've beaten 2 in my turboed SI (untuned) running 10 psi. . . sorry to say this but EVO's are overrated and they suck. .(stock that is)
