  • the budjet version of this deck i made = about 48$

  • whats are the 3 most important things when playing mtg #3 deck building #2 winning #1 having fun! winning isnt everything

  • This deck would he less then 100 to build

  • At cat ling time nose were u been lol

  • not for kids who just start out standard is a game of whos pockets were deeper

  • you cant play temp steel with out mox man trust me and this is like cawblade the cheaper you try to make it the worse it gets

    mox $25 each

    temp steel $8each

    inkmoth nex $20 each

    memnite $1 each

    Signal Pest $1 each

    glinthawk $1 each

    spellskite $10 each

    thats the base at: $254

  • @nick91ace 254 seems like a good deal for decks.

  • @nick91ace winning = priceless

  • you need glint hawk!!!

  • £226 for this deck at current prices (all none foil cards) Hardly a budget deck.

  • @XaviousLP Thats a pretty average price for decks these days. dont know what you really expect.

  • @carthwolf Budget usually means cheap. $300 for a 60 card deck is not very affordable and not very budget. Decks on the mtg website cost no more than $50, and that's on the high side of things. I don't mean to be rude, I'm just telling you what people expect.

  • When Steel Overseer Rotates out, what will replace him? Porcelian Legionaire maybe?

  • 3 Mox Opals, 4 tempered steel. .budget deck? Lol, nice vid though. Dont get me wrong i understand those are the backbones of the deck, but it's not a budget one, a straight up budget one is like the tap and kill deck with royal assassin/gideon's lawkeepers/avengers etc, of course, those are tier 2 decks.

  • @StreethingX i didnt recommend 3 mox opals. I said that was in the original list. temp steel was like a .99c card for awhile.

  • @ToCloseToLife I use pro Matte ultra pro

  • this is a totally normal version of this build. it's not budget, the deck just isn't expensive. Also, porcelain legionair is a much better choice maindeck than spellskite. spellskite its great in the sideboard against splinter twin. other than that, pretty normal.

  • @IamBIEVER its a budget deck. Thats the point of the video.

  • legonair?

  • I like running at least 2 hero of bladehold in my tempered steel builds.

  • Is the loss of Steel overseer too much post rotation?

  • @faxonboy I've found that Steel Overseer isn't really that necessary. In my opinion, the deck is so fast that he ends up coming off too clunky. I mean its nice to get a counter or two on your guys, but definitely not necessary. I think I'd rather have a one drop like Hex Parasite, but that's just me. About the only thing the Overseer has been good for in most the games I've played is bait for removal. So personally I don't think losing him to rotation will be all that bad.

  • Revoker is nice versus a lot of lists, but main deck it's bad in some cases and against some decks when you're playing 20 lands (w/o Mox Opal) with skite in the main the Revoker and Spellskite get to be really clunky aggro. The goal of this deck, versus Caw Blade is to win before they can cast Day of Judgment, and while your match up against the Exarch-Twin combo itself, Exarch Twin casting Pyroclasm, Chain Reaction, or Inferno Titan with Into the Roil prior (and they will) are gg for this deck.

  • Spellskite is horrible in this deck. Memnite, Signal Pest into Spellskite is a real ugly curve. The deck plays so many redundant monguisays, Spellskite doesn't need to protect them.

I do imagine running a few against Splinter Twin though.

  • Im so glad Carthwolf is making vids again.

    cheers

  • have you thought of running things like etched champion and swords in that deck? i think the protection from a color factor will be a unbelievably hard thing for most decks to deal with.

  • @MrZotZot good idea but he did say budget =]

  • A budget version of a budget deck? budgeception!

  • @Incontroll1 We have to go CHEAPER!

  • @Incontroll1 lolololol

  • Why not run any Porcelain Legionnaires, they seem like they would fit right in as a turn two play if you don't have a Steel Overseer.

  • @ss4linkftw From my experience toilet monster is underwhelming you lose two life, he often gets removed w/o doing damage and other two drops are better.

  • @paradoarify But that could be said about any two drop, without you taking two damage of course. If he doesn't get removed he does a ton of damage especially if you drop a Tempered Steel on t3 while Phyrexian Revoker or Steel Overseer don't really add that much, though I think that Steel Overseer is far better than Revoker but instead of running the 4x Revoker run the 1 Revoker and the 3 Legionnaires, it does significantly more damage.

  • @ss4linkftw 1) I'm not saying he's bad, just the other two drops (Overseer + GH Idol + Spellskite) are better. More two drops are too many in my opinion.

    2) revoker is almost always just a sideboard card. for twin, pod, and valakut

    3) steel overseer is really the best two drop for this deck because it is an alternative win condition. It's the next best thing to drawing tempered steel.
