  • @STLOW96 about 25,000

  • Can anyone tell me how many seats the stadium has

  • Only 13,000 fans yesterday :( That's not acceptable! We need to sell this place out!

  • parking is nuts though

  • @devssuck

    Take the train!

  • cool and europeanish

  • mann that looks niceeeeeeeeee.hope to play thre someday, and yes it will happen

  • I want an extension team and new stadium in Queens. So we could start a derby. Red Bulls champs in 2010.

  • great pitch. will definitely be going this year.

  • SANTOS, my love!!

    =D

  • The great history begins!! But..... would have been better in New York!!

  • did you where most of NY sports teams fans come from... its is overwhelmingly NewJersey.. and there is no room in NY anyway

  • NY Red Bulls rock!!

  • This stadium is beautiful! I can't wait to go! I love soccer!!

  • the name is football; soccer is your American rugby!

  • This is a nice stadium the other teams in MLS should start imitating this stadiums design because the others don't have imagination and look like pure crap.

  • Can someone please tell em where Could park? I am going to the first 2 games and I have no clue where to park.

  • you might get your car jacked... just take the path

  • Thnx, I think I will

  • @Loco330 you can park in their parking lot

  • Great animated video, congratulation

  • I don't see any speakers anywhere.....how do you hear any sound?

  • GO RED BALLS!!!

  • I love how they have girls sitting alone in the lounge and bar scenes. Like, "See, guys, this is why you'll want to buy premium packages!"

  • @TomMichaels101 we need to see more ethnicity in these animated videos.. i have yet to see african americans, latin americans, asian americans, middle easterners, etc. I am originally from Pakistan and a DC United fan..but the above statement is true for all sales pitches and videos...from every company or team..

  • as a crew fan all i can say is welcome to the we have our own stadium club.

  • @FCnewyorkESC, wut are those building going to be? the stadium is great, by fifa regulations it is pretty close, if only we built this stadium some 100 years ago so we can avoid the regs though. ha but i wonder, wut if red bull sells the team??? they would lose bunch of money, but at least the left a lovely parting gift

  • they will be offices, apartments, shops...maybe some pubs

  • in the beggining of the video, those buildings directly in front of the stadium, they are being built as we speak.

  • can smomebody please tell me why.....no stadiums in MLS have the fans exaclty up to the field like EPL stadiums like Stamford Bridge(Chelsea). as a fan i wan to be in the game not sitting 50 feet away from it. I thought this arena would do that and now that i llok at it they did the same thing put the front row of fans 50 feet away form the action.

  • because of the new regulations. See the new Arsenal Stadium (Emirates Stadium). The seating is pretty far too.

  • wrong. The new Tottenham stadium is going to be exactly on the field..

  • Check FIFA regulations. In all new stadiums, the first row of seating is required to be a minimum of 6 metres from the touch lines and 7.5 metres from the end lines. This is why new stadiums in England like the Emirates and Eastlands have more room around the pitch than older stadiums. Stadiums that pre-date these regulations like Stamford Bridge and Anfield get a pass. Despite what Spurs officials keep saying, the new stadium will be nowhere near as tight white hart lane.

  • I just cant believe it.......Again FIFA worries about the Wrong things........instead of cleaning up diving they now go after boundry width which is a very exciting feature when its up close and right on the action.

  • this stadium is only 11 feet from the touch line or maybe less. that is pretty damn close if you ask me. or from what im use to.

  • The problem at Giants stadium is the stands are too close to the touchlines. They cram the lines as close to the sides as they can and still fall short of regulation width.

  • @wrightnum3 The front row in the Red Bull arena is pretty close to the pitch much like Stamford or any other european stadium.

  • All this could be yours for just $220 million

  • They Copied this Stadium from Austria that was used in the Euro 2008 Tournement called Hypo-Arena look it up they look exactly the same

  • whoa, your right but the owners of ny are austrian maybe they own the design

  • true it's from those salzburg guys some austrian cmpany

  • could you show me any stadium of canada?

  • now change the team name and we'll be set.. Name the Stadium Red Bull Arena, fine. Red Bull can be the corporate sponsor. Fine. But let's please change the name. How about the cosmos!?

  • wow amazing

  • Red Bull New Jersey!

  • that name is fine by me.....JERSEY FRESH

  • Vernon Bailey + me = naked time

  • sometimes I wish this was called Metrostars Stadium even though the team is Red Bulls in the hearts of all the fans before the change its Metro oh well thats life. Metrostars › Red Bulls

  • @mk1spidermanchamp

I miss the Metrostars jerseys! Those were tight! The Red Bulls jerseys suck.

  • wow!

  • thats really good nice looking. comeing from toronto fan can't wait to go to new york that stadium very nice. the inside looks like the inside of bmo field the place where toronto play

  • not at all. bmo field is a highschool stadium. bleachers and plastic grass. this is a stadium.. sky boxes, pubs and quality grass.

  • bmo field doesn't have bleachers. and we have pubs and sky boxes

  • I think BMO would look more legit if it had some sort of wall or roof over the stands. Would look better, and increase how loud the fans are. This will probably be the coolest stadium in the MLS, too bad New York attendance sucks.

  • I agree, coming from a Red Bull fan, our attendence is the worst in the league considering we are the closest to the biggest city in the world.

  • dude, we don't have to wait to million years before we get taken care of. more like two seconds. and we don't care about the roof thing. all we want, and all we need is real grass

  • unlike you americans

  • uhhh kentucky blue grass....yea

  • stadium is going to look great.....i like the design because visually it makes it seem like 40-50,000 people instead of 25,000....nevertheless its a great for soccer in the US which in my opinion is becoming more popular over the last few years.

  • you live there? im from spain, i posted a comentary here a month ago, i thought te semae like you, but i saw the people who went to the stadiums the fist matches in mls this year....so poor, i thought the popularity was growing...but now im not so sure

  • the first mls game between the sounders and red bulls was sold out, it may seem like not many people go to some games, but trust me when i say soccer is getting more and more popular every year, especially in the last 3-4 years.

  • Comment removed

  • hah, good luck trying to convince yourself that comment is an amazing lie and that its the fastest growing sport in the country. ever heard of the youth and immigrants ?

  • when is the stadium gonna be ready for the red bull supporters?

  • they're shooting for the start of the 2010 season.

  • they say 2010 now

  • dont listen to dxgod101 hes just a guy who wanks off to jaime moreno, DC scum and Columbus Crew

  • hey dont blame him, jaime moreno is only a product of the "red bull reverse curse"

  • Dang it's 2010 now? I thought it would be ready midway through 2009. My only worry is the size. I know it's New York, but they won't fill this every game based of what I've seen at Giants Stadium. It looks like it seats double what Toyota Park does. I hope I'm wrong though. The opener will be hostile.

  • its only 25,000 people (toyota seats around 20) this is a relatively great size for RBNY and we should fill up most if not all games. It looks like it seats a lot more becuase the stands are inclined at a high angle, which is sweet for the fans there and makes the stadium look bigger as well!

  • wow it looks like a lot more 25,000. The design is great! Looks much better that the one in Austria.

  • the seating is only 5,000 more than Toyota park. I will probably be full each game.

  • This is really incredible! I can honestly say that I wank off to the Red Bull webcam every night... I can't wait to go to the home opener. THANK YOU RED BULL.

  • it looks likt the bee-hive in China(the stadium used for the olympics)

  • you mean the birds nest?

  • lol ye my bad lol

  • Yea but this is barely half-way through construction.

  • true, but right now it looks like it tho. dont you think?

  • Yea I guess.

  • its the emirates lol

  • the name of metrostars was better than a fucking trademark...i hate when a team has to change their name to a trademark name...and colours of the old metrostars was cooler ( i dont know if this word is right)or more cool than now...im from europe, from spain here the teams dont need to get a trademark name...i liked so much metrostars... but the stadium is great, for me the best soccerstadium in usa...eurpean style

  • The first name, MetroStars, came from their first owner, MetroMedia. Red Bull is just the same thing.

  • and when exactly do the red bulls think they are going to get crowds like that?

in all seriousness though, this is beautiful. this is the first time i, as a dc united supporter, have been jealous of the metrotards. congratulations!

  • but i believed than the people who likes soccer in usa was growing? that is right?? 25.000 suporters there are not so many suporters, i think it will be easy to get this people, look another sports like american football, baseball or basket, with stadiums so many bigger than the red bull. sorry for my english; we remeber freddy adu was in dc united!!!

  • wow more than 14 years in the making and it almost here GO Metro/Red Bulls!!!

  • whoa. that is sick.

    really jealous.

  • wow that looks so cool, nice stadium, if i visit new york i know where ill be going :) and if the whitecaps make the league in 2011 i think a road trip to new york is gonna have to happen.

  • im def gunna watch the opening match, im sure ill see you guys on tv.

  • will they allow flares?

  • GSS, ESC. sweet!!

  • 0:29

TFC mural on the left LOL

  • do you mean the action shot of angel and dichhio going for a header, not really a tfc mural but whatever. tfc sucks

  • Why are the people at the bar watching motorcycle racing?

  • cause Red Bull sponsors a rider...

  • oh shit! what a beauty!!!

    thank you Red Bull...Go METRO!!!

  • DAMN! that is an awesome stadium! I haven't seen something this cool since I went to go see the stade de france in paris.

  • i have a boner

  • im getting season tickets this year just so i could have dibs on this in 2010

  • sexy

  • Way to go Bulls

  • north end lower bowl, that's the various supporters clubs section(s), right?

  • yes, their putting everyone together.

No idea how that will work out though.

  • Everyone complained about it in Columbus at first, but the Nordecke wound up being the best thing that ever happened to them.

  • I just busted. This is sooooooooo sexy. Can't wait to let off some smoke bombs in this baby.

  • oooooooo la la, cant wait for it to open!
