  • what happens if the patient ends up with unsatisfactory result eg pollybeak etc.

will they have to pay for a revision or is it free?

  • @ani3000 Thank you for your excellent question.

No, I personally do not charge any of my primary rhinoplasty patients for revision if it is needed, which is rare. My personal revision rate is less than 3%. However, this only applies to my fees as a surgeon. A patient will still be responsible for other fees such as OR and anesthesia which are reduced hospital fees.

  • wow

  • Hello Dr Rod, can you correct/fix alar rim retraction? I had a surgery years ago and now I have alar retraction which pulled my left side upper lip! thanks

  • Where is this doctor at?

  • @0omir0o I am Dr Rod Rohrich at UT southwestern medical center - dept of plastic surgery. My private office is near north park in dallas texas.

  • I've always wanted to get a rhinoplasty surgery , however Im too scared to do it. Im somewhat scared of the risk. My nose has bother me for years, and its so uncomfortable feeling this way. I hope to one day finally be able to do it. Thanks for this video. Im gonna start saving for a surgery soon.

  • @drivonike2 Ive had 4 rhinos, only 1 was a good job,2 were complete disasters and the last 1 just put me back where I started.Mine wasnt that bad in the first place and i wished i never bothered with it.If the surgeon is a specialist in noses the risk is very low with a first time nose, each operation increases the risk

  • @billysue2 yikes! I've been reading more info lately about the procedures, and I think before taking the step im gonna find out more about the doctor whom I ever pick when the time finally comes. its quite embarrassing at times feeling like your nose is the only thing you want to fix and thats how I feel literally every day. I really would like to change that one day.

  • @drivonike2 you need to get a board certified specialist in plastic surgery and then someone who has done a lot of noses, over 1000 would be decent, also you and him need to agree exactly about whats wrong and be sure he can fix that.I spent 2 years researching rhinoplasty and consulting surgeons before my last op.The best advice site is look your best uk forum.Best surgeons in UK Matti, mackay and rowe jones,in america gruber, menick, burget, guyron and a few others but those guys are very expensive.

  • @billysue2 thanks for the info!!! =) and def. gonna do that than. There is one plastic surgeon in Scottsdale , AZ that I was considering , I saw a few of his videos, and also some of the previous experience he had. As well, at the certification he had received and it look like he was a good surgeon. The price wasn't specified, only by appointment , but reading comments about it, I kinda have an idea of the cost which why Im currently saving. For now Im def. gonna be reading more about it.

  • @billysue2 You are absolutely correct. For any secondary or even a primary rhinoplasty , you need to find do your homework to find someone who has the experience and expertise to get you the results you want.

  • @drivonike2 I agree with you. Your nose is the most prominent part of your face so changing it is a big deal. Make sure you select the best rhinoplasty surgeon who really knows noses!!

  • @DrRodRohrich I def will! I think once Im ready I will make sure the doctor agrees in what Im gonna do as well as me and the procedures that will be done. but i think once it happens i will def. feel alot better about my image.

  • @DrRodRohrich I def will! I think once Im ready I will make sure the doctor agrees in what Im gonna do as well as me and the procedures that will be done. but i think once it happens i will def. feel alot better about my image. thanks for the tips.!

  • You both look great, well done

  • how much it cost??

  • The cost of a rhinoplasty varies greatly depending on the complexity, so it's difficult to give a quote or even an estimate until the patient has been seen. For example if a patient has had a previous rhinoplasty and needs a revision, or if the patient perhaps had a broken nose as a child, the complexity will be much greater. In general you can expect a range between 4500 and 9500 USD.
