  • Please, What is the name of the first track and who performs it, I like it very much

  • Even tainos migrated to hawai'i I noticed the word they use anshihi means love one or my heart....just like taino word anxihi...with "x" pronounce sound same as "sh"....I asked her if it's meaning same like our taino word's she said yea.

  • Actually Tainos (used to be called arawak or lokono with 6 clans from south america) were migrated to carribeans, their customs, language and other did changed some like tainos now speak arawak mixed with nahuatl and other language while arawak or lokono were the true arawak speakers just like with timucua and 5 nations such as jeaga, calusa, tekesta and ais the 5 nations also mixed with arawak and muscogean or something language in florida like that.

  • saw u say the same thing again gayputa..u need to stop lying

  • YOUTUBE KEYWORD: ILLUMINATI BEAST

  • I'm wondering why I've heard Mexicans use some of these words. I wonder if it is because Tainos were possibly of Mayan descent as well or they mated with some Mayans who came from Mexico.

  • The reason why is that their are a lot of Spanish words that derive from indigenous words. Because their were no name for fruits, animals, herbs etc. when the Spaniards came to America, they took the words from the indigenous people. Therefore, today the Spanish language carries a lot of words that derive from the indigenous dialects. Here are a few indigenous dialects that we have a lot of words from: Nahuatl, Taino, Quechua.. and so many more indigenous dialects.

  • mexican use these words because they speak spanish, in the spanish language they use alot of words from the tainos. even english. exmple. iguana,canoe,tobaco,huracan/hurican,barbque etc. theres plenty even yuca a word used all over.

  • Well, I think it is possible that the Tainos were descended from Mayans as well as the Arawak, among others. But I believe it is largely from Tainos being the first natives that the Europeans encountered. And like someone said they didn't have words for the fruits, vegetables, canoe, tabaco, etc. I have noticed Taino words in many, many languages. Asian, Pacific Islander, and European languages have Taino words in them.

  • I agree. the Taino's are decedents of the arawaks. we also traded with the mayans. and of course marriages and liken of one another. as well as the calusas here in florida. which intergrated with the seminoles. there probaly taino blood here who knows :). were all the same just differ. langiage

  • well there has been historical facts that have been discovered that spaniards took mayans and aztecs to taino islands, so it is a great possibility that tainos interbreeded with aztecs and mayans

  • You'd be surprised how many languages around the world have Taino words in them. It's probably because tainos were the first Indians the Europeans came in contact with.

  • these words were in this book called anacoan " golden Flower " it was about a young female ruler

  • Most of the words I got from that book and from other sources as well.

  • some of the words like tomato, chocolate came from the dialect language from mexico (nahualt)

  • do you know anything about the grammar and enunciation?

  • No. Unfortunately, this language is half dead. Only several words are used in the Puerto Rican Spanish language.

  • Yes Taino is pretty much dead. We can only pronounce with a Spanish accent. However if it is true that Taino is part of the Arawak language family, then that would be of some help. However that includes like 80 languages.

  • are you a taíno?

  • No, not to my knowledge. There aren't too many people who are full Taino. So what would classify as Taino? 50%? I don't think that is even very likely in Puerto Rico.

  • no one in puerto rico is 100% taino in puerto rico . im from puerto rico and i work with the top scientist and the top history teachers from san juan to ponce you name it almoust all around puerto rico i did so much with dna studis with white puertorican and indians and we all are mix with african fron the whitest to the blackest.
