Quite funny but the inverted cross isn't actually offensive. Didn't a certain saint known as Paul have his cross inverted because he didn't feel he was near Christ standards.
No comment on the music I know (which is awesome btw), but I just thought I'd point it out.
Just like my brother he doesn't understand that screamo means emo music with screaming, but he thinks that anything with screaming of any kind is screamo fucking idiot. I'm not even Christian and I think Demon Hunter is awesome.
I love the "THIS IS NOT BLACK METAL" at the begining. XD I completely understand why some people would be confused. lol This isn't technically a Christian metal band... but there are a couple songs where they don't hide about being Christians. lol :)

I dont know what some of the lyrics like the ones you wrote might mean im not in the band but what about "Stand beside me. Storm the Gates of Hell" "Hell Hath No Fury At All." "Coward's heart, a serpent's tongue" and plus the name of the band is DEMON HUNTER their symbol is a demon skull with a bullet in its head and a broken horn.
@ehscanes the song is directed at those who do not believe in god and have their allegiance with the devil. That's why he says "wicked sons...raise your inverted cross." A lot of Christain bands like this take on the perspective of being at war with the devil and his followersso sometimes it may be confusing trying to figure out who the band is worshipping. These guys are definbately Christian though. You should also search bands like For Today, Impending Doom, and In The Midst Of Lions
@ Th3Gaurdian : i was just wanting to point out that many black metal bands aren't truly satanic. Most just add "satanic" lyrics to create controversy/publicity and sell more CDs, Slayer is a good example of this technique. And yes, i know that a large percentage are actually satanic. But personally i believe rap/hiphop/pop music is a greater bane to society than black metal ever will be (black metal is to controversial to become popular enough to make a difference in the world).

@ehscanes the song is directed at those who do not believe in god and have their allegiance with the devil. That's why he says "wicked sons...raise your inverted cross." A lot of Christain bands like this take on the perspective of being at war with the devil and his followersso sometimes it may be confusing trying to figure out who the band is worshipping. These guys are definbately Christian though. You should also search bands like For Today, Impending Doom, and In The Midst Of Lions

@ Th3Gaurdian : i was just wanting to point out that many black metal bands aren't truly satanic. Most just add "satanic" lyrics to create controversy/publicity and sell more CDs, Slayer is a good example of this technique. And yes, i know that a large percentage are actually satanic. But personally i believe rap/hiphop/pop music is a greater bane to society than black metal ever will be (black metal is to controversial to become popular enough to make a difference in the world).

Last night I came full back to God and deleted all my metal music that had any occult influence or swearing. Today I just got handed money randomly by relatives to buy three Demon Hunter albums. Thanks God :)
