I have a budgie and effing hate her. Of all the budgies I've had and I've had 10 at various times, she is the one I hate the most. She never ever stops screaming, day or night. Give her attention, she screams. Don't give her attention she screams. I have no idea.

I have 2 female budgies and they are only 11mnths old got them when they were 4 mnths but the person who gave it to us was a family friend and he had all sorts of birds and his budgies were wild.. i've been trying a long time for them to get use to me all they do is jump on my hand to take them out of the cage, they are affraid of me everytime i come near the cage and one is more tamed than the other. I dotn know how to get them use to me. And everynow and then they fight with eachother help me

The little guy has so much energy & seems to love performing. My favorite is the slide.

You guys are great, 'cause a lot of these are unnatural behaviors to tiny birds who don't like confined spaces. I guess Duke is great, too!

the trick is to buy them when they are super young, like when they have only just got feathers and their eyes are still dark. like in this vid. When they are older they only know one thing and that's to be wild and freak out around humans. so the younger the better.

hi there i just got a budgie yesterday. I read up on how you train them, most of the time it says putting your hand in their cage until its used to it (during this time the bird is supposed to be freaking out), i was putting new toys in my bird's cage and he didn't freak out at all :S all he did was sit there n chill while i put his toys up and got out of the way when i was placing a toy else where? so what i am basically saying is... help? lol

@xMzKikix You can get them at pretty much any pet store. I got one from Petco. But they're in the dog area, not the bird area. It's because clickers are more often used on dogs instead of birds. It was in the training aisle. It was like $2.

Your budgie is awesome! I love the part with the slide and the one with the long silver colour thingy which looks like a tunnel. Unfortunately my old 19 year old budgie died a few months ago. He was watching this vid and slowly dying after having a happy life. He liked ur vid a lot and he watched it every day for multiple times.

Now I'm planning to get 2 parrotlets. 1 male 1 female both 6 weeks old. Do u know if they will start mating soon after? Cause I don't really want them to mate... Thx!!!

How old is your bird? Or are you thinking of getting one? You just need to spend a lot of time with it. I breed budgies and just always handled the chicks from a young age and now they let me handle them fine. Boo boo, Buddy and Kurt all let me handle them and they all sit on my shoulder and aren't freaked. My other birds are more skiddish. My point is, again, the more time you are with them and letting them know you are safe, the more they will trust you.
