  • Leslie RS5T horn on the 1st train

  • My family has lots of property in Ripley, off Rt. 76. We hear the trains all day, being up the road a ways. I love it. It's such a great familiar feeling hearing those trains, whether I'm hunting or just enjoying myself.

  • I'm from Ripley, NY but live in San Diego, CA now. When we used to sleepout at night near the train tracks the trains would shake the ground so badly it would wake us up!!

  • Nice work! There are some good railfan spots throughout this line. One really good one is in Silver Creek, NY, and there are other spots all the way to Buffalo that I often frequent.

  • SC has 2 good spots, if you go back by the NS signals, there's a road to a camping spot in between the tracks, it kinda gets ya up over the stored auto racks there.-or- go down to the control point, where the cross overs are, its a good spot as well, nothing blocking the way.

  • Nice horn on the sd70mac

  • Apparently you didn't come as far East as Dunkirk! There are several photo opportunities in this area, both CSX & NS. At one time Dunkirk had 5 major railroads servicing this area, now we are down to 2. Anyway I like your videos, when I was your age video cameras would have been a figment of someones imagination! Good luck and have fun.

  • Thanks! I plan on returning in the future, and maybe will head further east if I have more time. This trip was based on North East though. CSX really runs alot through there, though NS could use some work. :D
