@bakebooey Thanks for the comment, I appreciate it! I used to watch the movie they cut together from the series called Voyage into Space on channel 5 in Los Angeles. That was back in the early 70's. The they started showing the actual tv show on ch 52. I was so excited cause up to that point I didn't even know it was a tv show.Suddenly I got to see all these new Giant robot stories! Thanks again!

@crrider12564 In India, it came on TV every Wednesday evening (early-to-mid 1980s). And at a very odd time in the evening...I couldn't go out to play with the rest of the kids. Even if I did, I would sprint back. Coz Giant Robot was on TV.

@peckiledorf LOL! Hmm, that's an interesting question. Giant robot is strong and sturdy, but Ultra man in fast and limber. If Johnny can get him before he turns into Ultra man thern it's all over. Then again, if somebody shoots Johnny with a trank in the neck while he's working Giant robot and knocks him out, then Giant robot will freeze.Aahhh! An impossible outcome! BUT, Godilla fought fake Godzilla in Final wars. Strong and sturdy vs fast and limber. And we all know how THAT turned out. Hmm...

Hey, freeze the image at 2:59 and again at 3:01. Robot's face is completely different at these points (yes, obviously the filmaker used miniatures in addition to the guy wearing the rubber suit). Just thought it was interesting noticing this 35 years after I first saw the movie, lol!

That was pretty good! I haven't seen the movie in decades. I forgot that the giant robot made grunting noises when he responded to commands. Sounds something like "RAFF! GRUFF!" I remember imitating him when I was a kid with the arm moves and those grunts.
