Illyrians were wery strong at that time and they survived as a nation long time after Greeks left the area. Only Romans managed to assimilate Illyrians in 9 A.D. and they named this region after tough Illyrians (Delmats) - Dalmatia.

Greeks also founded towns - Trogir, Pula, Stari Grad, Split, ...

Ok first of all Im not viking, Im a croatian woman born in Sweden. Second: I think I know the croatian people better than you since I have been there ohh lets see maybe,,,25 times. It's sad that someone ripped you on money but you know there are "zingari" everywhere in the world, in every country. I lived in Italy for 4 years and EVERYTIME my family or friends came to visit me they got ripped of money in the restaurants.
