on the new xbox (slim) it gives you the option and sayd it has done it, but all patches stay in place. I tried to exploit the infinite Cap glitch on new vegas and it wont do it. I did it awhile back on my old xbox but can't do it now.... any suuggestions?

clearing the cache means that all the updates for your games will be deleted, updates usually are for fixing bugs and glitches so it is useful if you want to glitch again.

if you are on live you will be asked if you want to update the game again when you play it. or any other game

it does not delete any of your saved content or profiles

yeah my buddy brought his harddrive to my place to set up his new xbl account, and when we went to play halo reach, it froze at the title video that places until you skip it in the exact same spot everytime. but it works with my harddrive, then we deleted all of his gamer profiles and made a new one as well as all the other downloaded stuff and still nothing.. then we tried this method multiple times and it wouldnt give us any message to confirm if it deleted the cache and still freezes

i wonder why you can delte the big 128MB addon pack for NXE but you cant delete NXE itself.

When you get NXE, the avatars and LIVE access and system options are dwnloaded as a seperate 128MB pack. if you want to free up this memory you can but you lose access to LIVE and some other special features.

But thanks to the latest update if u have a spare usb drive you can use it as extra memory.
