  • I have seen this car crash outside my work place, the old lady was trying to climb a little ramp so she slowed down and cut through a two way road - a chrysler 300C came through and ripped her back bit apart. the vehicle was totalled however the chrysler had minor damage on the front bumper, grill, headlights.

If anyone wants to see a picture of how this car looked like after the crash, msg me.

  • this is what helped me decide to buy the 06 Tiida i just got. Safety before looks.

  • Thanks

  • This seems to be a Renault, not a Nissan

  • @CIMESoporte it's built on a Nissan/Renault co-designed platform and the engine (1.8ltr in Aus) was also co-developed by Nissan and Renault. Same deal with the Latitude/Maxima. Just shows they can save money by using the same platforms/chassis/engines styled differently. Although very common in the car industry...

  • a friend of mine broke the windshield with his head when he crashed in this car...

  • Нормально

  • It good must show this to my dad he will buy it for me :)

  • Its Okay i think.

  • Friends, I will agree with you it is crash zone to absorb the impact of the crash. In this way your bones are intact. Fu... the engine and lamps you are alive. The insurance is there to pay for the damages.

  • not bad

  • Its designed to do that, Its called 'crumple zones' or something like that. Basically its the new age version of a monocoque chassis, in a collision or crash the car's danger zones crumple and absorb the impact (leaving a nasty looking mess) but leaving you alive. 4/5 star is a lot better than 80% of the U.S. top cars.

  • Wow .. this look like a nasty crash .. what speed was it driving with ?

  • 60km/h

  • 100

  • Holy shit . I drive this thing

  • what do you mean holy shit, that was a good crash, the front crumpled to absorb impact and the passenger compartment stayed in tact. look at the pillar that runs along the top of the door, if it holds its shape fairly well, then you're in good shape

  • I agree I hated the Echo with a PASSION.Has anyone seen an uglier car than that.Mums Niece drives one a 2003 model and given a choice between that or the Local Public trasport bus It's a no brainer

  • Yaris is actually one size smaller than this.I drive a Tiida and often borrow my workplaces Toyota Echo for home and business delivery work and feel much safer in My Nissan than the Echo.

  • Echo was a cheap, ugly car. Never liked them.

  • i think it was a good crash. airbags worked.. no one died.

  • why? are you afraid of living if you have a car crash???

  • sorry typos "when" should be "went", "hidding" should be "hitting" :)

  • someone mentions Yaris, I have seen a 3-door red hatchback Yaris crashed head on to the central divider after a water pool. the front end of the Yaris was totally gone. it is so dangerous to be driving a smaller car.

it is light, it probably was airborne on the pool of water and lost control of steering and when fishtail and ended up hidding head on to the divider.

It was very scary looking at that tiny car.

  • Actually this is not a bad crash. Most of the impact got absorbed by the front crumple zone, since it was designed that way. The goal is to keep the cabin and the passengers in one piece and the Tiida/Versa is doing just that. It is safer than a Corolla or Accent. Even the basic Versa has a side airbag which is optional in other cars. Nice video, thanks..

  • no one went through the windshield so.... it looks like a pretty safe crash. It just looks scarier in slow motion.

  • Everytime I'm on the highway doing 130km/h i think about these crashes at 64km/h and I think: OMG!!!

  • Yesterday night, Emirates Road at 8:00AM.

Black Nissan Tiida and 2008 BMW 320i Coupe .

Head on crash, the BMW sustained damage till the beginning of the engine but the Tiida had the exact same damage as seen in this video. Tiida driver got airlifted and was in critical condition .

  • yeah but did the bmw driver get hit in the drivers side???

  • Well for the extra $20k over this car I'd hope the BMW is safer!

  • and looking at your page it would be pretty safe to say that you are pro BMW, so even if the BMW driver was killed you would not be saying that . . . .

  • brilliant! how fast was it going?

  • very good

  • this is wrong! how do you think hes legs have it down there? like a pankake! only soup again! poor feller!

  • Which would you perfer - broken legs or a broken neck? This is a very safe car.

  • well i know cars who are mutch safer! who dont make a weelchair out of you¨!

  • No damage to a-pillars, but cracked front windshield and minor damage to the front door on the driver side, that looks like a 4-star in euro-ncap terms...i think...Pretty good for a reasonably-priced car.

  • the guy probably die or be parallised from a broken neck

  • This is a car I would let my WIFE drive

  • This is one of the safest cars in it's class.Look athow big safe and solid it really is

  • Sorry to correct u but..Umn da yaris which looks like a bit smaller but is da same class..scored 5 Stars..

  • yes... the Yaris scored 5 stars...but in its category, which is totally different from the category of the Tiida... don't mix categories.

  • I Assumed they wud be da same class jugdging by their size..

  • Yaris is a sub-compact, Tiida/Latio/Versa is a compact but in the US it is officially classified as a Mid-size car due to large interior space.

  • Tiida/Latio/Versa - is Sub-Compact - by US standards :D check your facts (I own a nice gray one with a nice trunk :D)
