Have you ever even worked in a restaurant before? I've been both FOH and BOH. When customers are hungry, they are impatient. They are even more impatient if they are going to spend hundreds of dollars. Service has to be fast or else the establishment will fail. I understand that many people feel that yelling is unnecessary. but your statement that yelling in a dangerous environment is ill advised is a stupid statement. Yelling is not hazardous. Lack of skills is hazardous.

Everyone knows that it will all be over, those that are not in line to win have nothing to lose and could sabotage the actual contestant. In this situation I think this kind of treatment may not only be effective, but also necessary. In a REAL business though, this would be damaging.
