I can completely agree...100% absolutely, hands down, my all time favourite FPS for the PC.
Master Chief what? Pfft....Pitchfork to the visor and a quick starburst from the Flare gun and that's all she wrote - Caleb is simply, hands down, THE best protagonist for a FPS game, save the almighty Duke himself...
All the rest don't have a prayer to the Dreaming God himself...
@Robikku yeah true, I wish they still made some gritty, challenging and old school style games like this now. This game is so edgy, badass and it doesn't take itself too seriously. It's hard to find something like that now.
@NicolaScorpion7000 Caleb is just as Evil as those he killed. He was part of the Cabal. He was cast down and merely seeks vengeance, pure and simple. He was not there to save any one. Just get vengeance on those that wronged him, his lover, and his two friends.
Also in life, Caleb was also a merciless outlaw gunfighter (and possibly a mass murderer) during his heyday (the wild west) which got him into the highest ranking of the Cabal in the first place
it's strange that the cutscenes in the sherware Blood are removed but in the the shareware Duke Nukem 3D and Shadow warrior the cutscenes are in place.
I have all blood games i saw this cutscene it almost looks like blood 2!! One thing blood 1 is nothing like blood 2 except for the enemies and weapons but more weapons and enemies
funniest game ending..but game is epic,, so pity that blood 2 sucks comparing otiginal =( not so fast not so dynamic, corpses dont fly back of your shotgun..ahhh memories
I don't think they were married per se (but I could be wrong), but she had been sacrificed in the name of the Stone Gargoyle (don't remember his name) at the end of Episode 1. Caleb cremated her, and she belongs to the spirit world now.
One of the villains in Blood 2 developed a weapon--called a Singularity Generator--and each time he meant to kill Caleb with it, it ended up bringing back hiss old friends from the dead.
...I think. You don't actually see Caleb's love (Ophelia) come back, but you do witness his old comrades, Ishmael and Gabriel return with the malfunctioning Singularity Generator.
The plot is a bit vague in Blood 2, so I might be misinterpreting some things, though.

I love the Blood 1 movies... It's so old yet cool and great! Love it!

this game holds such a special place in my heart.
i played it when i was about 10 years old i think, im now 22 and looking back at this...makes me really miss these sorts of games.
now days its all too 'serious'. DONT GET ME WRONG i love serious games too...but this is pure art.
there will never be a game like this ever again and that sux.
long live blood...and please....do not remake it :(

because the cutscenes were kept on the CD. in duke nukem3d they're installed with the game.

if you pause exactly at 0:32, it just shows the civilian lying in a black void.
awesome game. I can't think of a single VG character who can top off Caleb himself.

i think blood 1 was better then 2.. but i was 4 last i played (9yrs ago) so im not sure.. also 2 nvr ran past the 2nd level.. so yeah

Blood 1 is better in any imaginable way.
