Really interesting how people here in America has responded to this novel... Heck, at this point I don't even consider it a game, it's a full blown epic written by a literary master. Bravo Japan, and bravo Ryukishi07 and 7th Expansion, as well as the people at The Witch Hunt for translating it.
@TheSuperloner123 It's technically a game. It's something called a Visual Novel, and in Japan VNs are normally fairly interactive, but Umineko doesn't have any intractable parts until the 8th book. That doesn't mean it isn't fun though, the interactivity for the first 7 stems from you, the reader, attempting to figure out the truth behind the murders and learning/changing with the main characters. It's brilliant. ^_^

The series's evolution is interesting to watch.
EP 1's is still my favorite, though...
They should have made a new one for 8 instead of re-using 7's.....
