  • I remember well on e morning getting into Hong Kong guidede only by Sonar because the fog was so thick that you can cut it with a knife.Love this video

  • Thanks for the video. My husband was assigned temporary active to the Ticonderoga at the time this was taken - 1966. He was assigned out of San Miguel, Philippines. Hong Kong harbor was a beautiful place and he keeps it in his memory. He told me years ago about the Aberdeen and the King Kong floating restaurants.

  • Thanks for the videos. My Father was on the Ticonderoga in the MM division from '68-'72. I remember him telling of going to Hong Kong once, where he bought my Mother a set of China dishes. I'll have to show him the video to see if he remembers any of this.
