  • Was and is one of the WORLDS best ever guitar players!!!!

  • Sweeeeeeeeeeeet!!!!!!!!!

Left us way too soon, like all the good ones :'(

  • i'll venture that there may not be a bteer voice playing combination ever put together. what a God given talent. jam on with jerry reed, jeff, upstairs.

  • This is lovely. I am consistently a student of his playing and singing, so thanks. I am also usually happy with how Healey appears to have given a band the required space, particularly in a live context, if you know what I mean.

  • Oh is that good. He's making that guitar talk. What a touch this guy had.

  • I had the privilege of seeing & meeting

JH......took some amazing photos of a

show he did at Terra Blues in Greenwich Village

    NY......RIP.......

  • out this world i cant understand how he did this R.I.P

  • Jeff was the Jam...he loved Jazz and Blues and played and sang them oh so well. RIP dude. You were da musical bomb.

  • i didn't know that he is no more. what a loss...R.I.P

  • i was fortunate enough to see him once in seattle at the ballard fire house in 2000, i will never forget it or him. His music will live forever, god bless you jeff

  • The man is possibly the greatest blues guitar to have ever graced this earth.

  • fuck he was good - his phrasing is perfect!

  • excellent!

  • One of the finest muscians hands down. Healey tears this song apart on guitar and on lyrics as well. R.I.P. Jeff you truely were a master.

  • jeff was out of this world, one of the better renditions of this song that i have heard.jeff was truely amazing, just goes to show how much we should thank god for what we have. And use our gifts for the better of man.

  • nobody ever played quite the way he did. his limitations made him a unique and incredible player because he had to find his own way.

his soulfulness and lyrical quality of both his "voices" were a treasure. he is terribly missed

a true genius as his interest went far beyond blues to many genres.

RIP Jeff. you are dearly missed

    shally

  • No man, open your eyes. Look at Jeff, he had no limitations. He was great, cause he was great, simply said.

  • As someone who is visually impaired myself, a note on Jeff. He chose to play the way he did, it had nothing to do with his being someone who was blind, but rather a preference he had to play in this manner.

  • This man was sheer genius, love his stuff, but this track especially, sooooo cool and chilled out. The world has lost an amazingly talented blues artist, RIP Jeff, never forgotten.

  • Amazing sound ...!!!the guitar really cries..

  • It weeps sweet blue tears.

  • I saw Jeff Healey live in 1986 I think it was. Damn it was a good show. So good, we (my brother, friends and outright strangers) got into a fight with the local gang. They were all patched up and ready to rumble. There were no winners btw but it brought the whole crowd together. I wish violence had not lead to a great concert. But it did. I guess beauty and truth will always win out in the end.

Sorry to hear about your departure Jeff. But I'll see you in that big RoadHouse in the sky. Yea baby!

  • wait, Jeff is dead?

  • Yeah, I didn't know till a while ago either. Cancer I believe. It is a tragedy, and what is a pity is that this didn't even make headlines. Its amazing the disrespect people have for incredible music.

    RIP Jeffy

  • died on cancer :(

    we lost a legend!

  • Not many covers of this that I like.. But this is the best.. (yes best!) Thanks for the intensely great sound quality.. and for getting this up to share.. All the info you posted here is very helpful. I have some cd buying to do.. and I aint rich! But there are some priorities in life.. Jeff IS one! Live music is the other, when possible.

  • not forgotten...will live in our hearts 4ever.

  • Jeff !! You have my respect forever and ever!!R.I.P

  • MightY FiNe !! Pickin' !!

  • Super Super Super Super ... LOVE IT !!!!!!! jEFF hEALEY ...WHAT A great talent... he flat tears it up!!! Rest...peace...Jeff!

  • Great video, didn't know he had passed away, that's a shame.

  • C'mon Jeff sounds so great on this ! How great He was !

  • I LOVE YOU JEFF! R.I.P

  • One of the things I never understood about the bluegrass folks--they speed this song up so much that it kills the melody. I love BG, but that may be my one big criticism!

Thanks for this. Lordy, Mr. Healy had the talent!!! I was so sorry to hear that he passed away!

  • one of the best versions of this great ole song i have ever heard. thank god for his last album.

  • goodbye jeff mate i hope you see the light wherever you are, video is class by the way.

  • what did he die of, im shocked!!

  • Retinoblastoma is a cancer of the retina

  • Rock On in Heaven, Man!

  • Thank you for all your great music Jeff. Rest in peace my brother. Another gift from Canada to the world.

  • superb ...

  • Thank you..

    RIP Angel Eyes

  • what did he die of as said im shocked

  • RetinoBlastoma

  • Eye-cancer, since he was a child.

It was his destiny, he was NEVER to survive it. but he got 40+ years. Most people with eye-cancer say goodbye a lot earlier.

My very best and Rest In Peace, Jeff
