I can't wait to make one, now! All preprinted patterns are made for those with an hourglass figure and that is not me, so I am so excited to make one specifically for my body type, thank you!!
Really helpful, thanks :D how well will the corset work without the boning or wiring? I don't want to dramatically slim my waist, just a little definition. This is for a convention I'm going to, so its more for fancy-dress rather then a practical one.
@kitkatkongos Hmm if you're making it directly on your own body I don't think there would any adjustments be needed... but if you're not sure, what I think is very helpful is going into a shop that sells corset and just trying different types of corsets on and see how they work on your body, then you can see very easily what you have to pay attention to and if anything needs to be adjusted.
Normally every seam has boning, , I use stronger in the front and more flexible at the sides and back. If you want to be really tough you can use more than that but it turns out really stiff and that's kind of uncomfortable^^
wow, thank you very very much! i was looking everywhere for corset patterns and this video is something that helped me the most :D thank you thank you thank you! <3
My grandma gave me some old bedsheets a while ago, really good quality but the corners had turned yellowish and she had never used it... so she thought I might find a use for them. As you can see I did^^
Thank you :)

How wide should each part be? ^^

@Zinaccti Depends on the measurements of the person I think.

How wide should te bones be?
Zinaccti 1 year ago
@Zinaccti The bones themselves or the channels for them?
Goldkehlchen20 1 year ago
@Goldkehlchen20 well, I was thinking both =)
Zinaccti 1 year ago
@Zinaccti I would say look what kind of corset-steel you can get hands on and then make the channels so wide that they fit in.
Goldkehlchen20 1 year ago
@Goldkehlchen20 Thank you! :) and how many?
Zinaccti 1 year ago
@Zinaccti I would say one for every seam you made... but that depends on how many you want. Some people just put the boning in the front for support.

Haha, you've got a kitteh helping you! :P

@GreenAmberIce I guess in that case plastic-boning would be a good idea, way less restricting but shapes a little^^

Great idea! Question: If I am a bigger sized, what kind of adjustment should i make to make sure it fits properly?

Great video! would you reccomend using boning for each of the seams, or would that be overkill?
