Uhm, I'm not very Geek-ish on star-wars, Annikin was stronger than any of the republic or dark side people, he just was too selfish and wanted power and glory and for him and padmae to live and rule the galaxy, but his own son had almost killed him and he died from no breath in the last episode, So furthermore Luke Skywalker is the most powerful Lightsaber-Weilder in all of the galaxy. :P.
