it's an incredible challenge to understand french people speaking french. I had 4 years of french yet I find it difficult. Picking up bits and pieces, understanding the context.. but many words are slipping by. I need to pay more attention to French music, films so I can actually listen to people speaking. I just don't know what to watch, and what to listen

@meliscuga I made a huge progress by working in UK for 6 months (I'm French), so it's a good thing to travel to France and speak with a french family for exemple. If you can't afford to do so, the only advice I can give you is to read french books (I think you know loads of them) and french films (with english subtitles when you start) : Amelie, Les petits mouchoirs, Paris, L'auberge espagnole, l'Arna'coeur, Intouchables, etc.
