  • do both male and female call?

  • I have one of these stranded inside one of my central A/C ventilation ducts at the moment-- his little trill echoes inside my living room, and it's very weird. Can't see him, but I hear him a few times a day. A/C guy is coming tomorrow to see if he can find where Mr. Froggie came in and hopefully push him back out into the yard! They're cute in the trees, but I don't want them in the house.

  • how come it says these guys are in PA and i can never find one even at night

  • @kudosdc

yep, I caught one and it changed color over the course of a couple hours. left it in the tank for awhile, started off brown, but when I came back it was light gray! I was really surprised :)

don't worry, I let him go after a little while ^^

  • are these realy in illinois like the illinois with chicago i thot treefrogs were only in warm tropical places

  • I have one of these little guys. But he hasn't chirped in years. I can't remember if his call was more shrill or more warbly. Oh well. :P

  • The spring peepers began calling yesterday - seems very early this year. The grey treefrogs won't be out for at least a month but I've copied this video to have on hand to strike up a conversation with them. It us quite amazing how easy it is to entice them to sing with an iPhone or a trill of the tongue. I saw some comments regarding their variation in color - in fact individual frogs can change rather quickly between the green and grey colorations.

  • @puppyyyoshi They're different speices, the shorter call is the copes gray treefrog and the longer laughing one is an eastern gray treefrog.

  • my tree frog would do this whenever my doorbell rang

  • My tree frog started singing when it heard this:)

  • Luv this vid

I have five eastern Greys and they're so cute! My favorite animals

  • One has moved into my water garden. He/she is getting responses from other neighborhood frogs.

  • this is what im hearing outside my window right now!

  • I hear these things out my bedroom window every summer/early spring!! Kinda annoying!! (jf your constantly hearing it all day long!!)

  • I found one in my garage last night ha.

  • Cute little guy.

  • Mine Died today of old age.I was going get another one but how long do they live for???

  • @dramadudejack how do you even know it was old age when you don't know their life expectancy lol

  • i love these things, i caught a bunch of tadpoles in oak creek, az which is where i live and brought them home to my tank along with some crawdads i caught there. i thought they were salamanders at first but today i noticed the first one that is physically able to walk/climb/ breathe air etc. does anybody know how fast they grow or how long it takes them to do that croaking noise

  • i want one so bad

  • As frogs go they are pretty easy keepers. I've kept several and I love it when they call.

  • Hey these are COOL MONSTERS! They look weird

  • Great footage! Thanks for the show :-)

  • Cool video man! I'd say about , 4/5. ok!

  • Cuties!

  • im getting 1

  • So in THIS case, the more brown of the 2 is the H. Versicolor, correct?

  • How do you mix this with a green tree frog?

  • ones a copes gray treefrog the other is regular the only difference is their call

  • their call and the amount of chromosomes is different as well.
