i actualy started the "atelier" series with rorona and well in love with the style of the game. i've always been an ar tonelico fan and dont quite know why i didnt pick this up sooner. i recently started eternal mana and i keep forgeting its an atlier game because im used to the 3d but i agree that 2d is much better

This is the only good game they (Gust) made. This is the only game from them where you actually can explore the world map just like old school rpg, not just some stupid dotted map. Too bad after this game booming, they were getting lazy in level design department, and instead trying to shove the player with excessively "moe" factor, bunch of love dating simulations element, and anime cutscene into the game to the point that it gets really annoying.

By the way, can anyone confirm whether or not the Japanese subtitles/lyrics are ALL correct? I noticed that in some parts where the symbol for "ku" was placed, it was sung differently. In the AT2 Viese/Felt pretty much adopted Iris at the end of the game so she took on the name Blanchimont. Iris went on, became a great alchemist, and eventually created beings like Lita. Lita was the last one and since Iris was pretty much her mom she took on "Blanchemont" as well. That's pretty much the only real relation she has to Viese and Felt as far as the games hint.

white night imagination. I like this song a lot. Too bad the characters Lita and Delsus would always yell time to die once you got 1/2 past the game. Then that damn fire mana who'd transform and act like some rapper really got on my nerves. At least I played worst games and this had 1 original thing, being the alchemy but that wasn't that big a deal.

Other than the cliches this game really wasn't mediocre. It was pretty decent compared to a lot of crap I had to play whether it was powerleveling, getting lost easily, or half the mana/moves being completely useless. It isn't my favorite rpg since it lacked these things but it wasn't a bad one either. btw the song is sung by: Akira Tsuchiya and Takashige Ina.

I forgot about bad plots like deus ex machina or other implausible crap (see wild arms 5 or grandia 3 for the latter, lunar 2 the former). That was really painful. I suppose by contrast, it's better to read a story/characters you've heard many times before than put up with that crap. Although yelling barrel was really stupid, at least the platforming and searching for alchemy was pretty decent, unlike that damn fire mana, something like "klein klein in the membrane" crap he'd say.

i like how the intro shows Lita first coming to kavoc (and jumping from the city) then flying down. It also shows the boss you get the cane from, the formation of the flawless marvel.... and the intro has armalga or whatever his name was....... all these are things you wouldn't catch until watching after playing through the game.
