a nice informative video i enjoyed the style of the video i went on the liverpool one big wheel today at first it was nerve wrecking but i got used to it after it got the top and then we got two full rotations on the whell it went fast though so you couldnt get on while it was in motion i want to go on the manchester wheel and the lodon eye at some point

lahndahn is the place to be. the eye is great. i went on it in the day time and the view was amazing, you could see for miles and miles. i also went on it at night and it was awesome seeing london lit up... amazing experience.. you must go on the eye if you visit london.

I LOVE LONDON!!! I've been there last summer for the first time in my life and I immediately fell in love with Her! I really need to get back there asap! The Eye is also great even if I suffer a lil bit from height sickness (dunno if it's correct saying it this way, sorry I'm italian, plz don't hate me, not everyone of us is like Berlusconi:D) however, everybody, GO TAKE A RIDE ON THE EYE because it's great! It's better at night I guess! ;)

We didn't ride the eye when we were in London. When I go back, it is going to be one of the things I'm going to do. We were only there a week and that isn't enough time to see all the city has to offer, I loved the city.

Thanks for the info great vid im planning on going to England im a WW2 buff want to see dover and biggins but a ride on the eye and a scoot on the thames would be nice too if your ever in toronto canada take a trip up the C.N.tower is almost like the eye for the view in one of the fastest elevetors any good pubs near the eye?

If, after you have been on the Eye you cross Westminister Bridge o the Houses of Parliment (I guess you will anyway!) there are some really great, traditional London pubs around there. That is to say that 95 percent are all chain-owned now but they still have all the fixtures, fittings and London charm!:)

They are made from steel and cable, it is very safe and has been designed to last a hundred years, it is so smooth you do not even realise it is moving:)

Thanks for your comment, it is very calm and silent so I doubt people find it scary. You can hire a private pod and they provide a champagne picnic I read somewhere:)

oh cool thanks the reason i asked if it was scary was because when your at the top some people look down but they cant call someone and tell them to make the thing so they can get off so they are stuck up there and have todeal with the hieght and be scared

I don't that you put it up again. I love London and have been there many times, but strangely enough never had a ride on the London Eye. In November I'm going over there again and will (try) to catch a ride on the Eye. :-)

Well I have several from years ago just need to find time to transfer to dvd or video the footage off screen, love old films and this brought back happy memories, the worst part for me was getting on and off, thought I would end up in the Thames LOL.

Oh and remember the security, they took a plastic knife off a kid, and I had to hide me lighters from the wax works. LOL

took 30 minutes to get through security.

I love London and while you are in London anyone go to Primerose Hill and you can see a panoramic view of London for free including The London Eye, St Pauls, Chrystal Palace, The Gherkin building, Canary wharf etc etc
