Why wouldn't you? She was an awesome villain an it worked because so many people hated her. It's called great acting..not to mention the Witch was a nice change from villain's always being covered in black or red... an she actually has a reason for her skin being so pale... just read the Magicians Nephew.. she didn't even come from Narnia an was far more powerful in her own world.

Also explains why she is immortal, pale, an can be resurrected like she almost was n prince caspian

And all I was saying, the things she had to do or appear to do...personally, I couldn't bring myself to be that evil even just for fake. He can't fight back, he is property of the Witch.. Which was agreed upon when they spoke in the tent in exchange for Edmund's life.

Had he fought back, He'd risk his own life without being a sacrifice.. So the Witch would still have claim over Edmund which would stop the prophecy from coming true or she could have Narnia destroyed.

So Aslan had no choice but to except whatever torture he had for him, though he always knew he'd be coming back.
