"Hard" is a relative term. Most of the Hyper charts are up there, but the standard level, 9 Key, is reasonable (for the most part). Still, it'll probably take you a while to get used to this. Remember, it was designed to be played by more than one player (no kidding); you go it alone, you have to learn a few things.

if you live in massachusetts, there supposedly is an arcade that has it...there's also one in Canada. If not, I think there are ones available online...but someone has to make it for you and it costs around 300$ ish.

Tons of line-crossing songs these days. It's in IIDX Gold too, BTW. As for Carnival, any place that has imports should have a copy. Or just order online (Play-Asia is fine).

Far too little space here to explain the difficulty nuances, but in brief: 5-Key = beginner/kid/just relaxin' Mode, *very* easy & simple. 9-Key = standard difficulty. Hyper (this) = expert difficulty, pretty challenging. EX = just plain crazy, the ultimate challenge. It wasn't always like this, of course, but you'll want to go to a PoMu board for details.
