Even as we view this video clip, our government denies that they abandoned 23,000-25,000 of the 123,000-125,000 US POWS held in German and Japanese camps in WWII..most of the POWs were US Army Air Force POWS. Even though we knew that the Russians had kidnapped our people along with hundreds of thousands of allied POWs, the highest officials did little of nothing..but we did keep the very scum of the Nazi, Japanese military to assist us in the cold war. It was the same in Korea and Vietnam!
@Frisco71957 Absolutely, I refer you to Operation Paper Clip, the Reinhart Gehlen org. that the newly formed CIA took in right after the war. They contributed virtually nothing to intel, but drew handsome salaries and fostered paranoia that in essence led to the 1950s witch hunts.

Compared to the trash on TV today this type of television production in the 1960s is light years ahead.
