Cataract surgery may be an option. It's not cheap, but it is available for horses these days, if there aren't other major complications involved.

@johnsoncm65 Unfortunately the surgery was not a feasible option when Smokey first went blind 15 years ago. He did amazingly well, completely blind for those 15 years. Thank you for the thought....
