Two reasons:

One: The main option that makes the graphics look so ugly, mat_showlowresimage 1, is not properly optimized and will actually decrease the FPS in some cases.

Two: This was filmed on a horrible laptop with integrated graphics. I might make a new video eventually on my new computer with a better "worse" config eventually.

You can see a proper FPS config in the video responses.

Btw: Found a better and more effective way to boost fps: boot tf2 with directx 8. there's plenty of videos on youtube how to do that. it is SAID to work perfectly but i didn't have time to try it, yet. Maybe, if you're searchin for a way to get rid of the lagg, this could help you. Anyways, I've read a lot about the technique portrayed HERE that say, it just makes it look crappybut in some cases even makes the lagg worse. :-)

You have to create it then. Download the file in the description and place it where the autoexec should go. Name the file "autoexec.cfg" and make it a wordpad document.

Yes, the pixels are shown raw and it does make the apperance of minecrfat (somehow?), but nevertheless, Minecraft will never look like this.
