That’s interesting; I haven’t seen a scroll in person, one day I hope to. Though in the Tanakh [which I have and The Chumash which as you will know is the Torah set out in the weekly readings, there not starting with an enlarged letter. The enlarged bet at the beginning is there and in English we would use a large letter but in Hebrew there are none, so to find some in the text is a deeper revelation of the Word waiting to be pondered I think.
