Oh, how I love Charisma! Cordelia was my absolute favorite character and I'm so glad that Charisma feels exactly the same way I do about everything. I just couldn't buy that the same Cordelia that cared for baby Connor like a mother would sleep with him, Big Bad of the season or not. The fact that she came back after all that for the fans speaks volumes about her. Charisma is just fabulous!

I don't know a lot of people who are comfortable talking about being fired. To be in the public eye like her, and tell it like that - my respect for her goes way up. The film business is a business, no matter how much you earn it still hurts when someone mistreats you.

Wow, she's really honest about this. Which is very rare in Hollywood, and really cool. And she was really gracious about the plot at the end, and didn't tear Joss down or insult him in any way.

I'll always love Joss, but I think even he'd be the first to admit that he's human and that, while perhaps not from a business point of view or a creative point of view, but on a PERSONAL level, this was probably a mistake. You don't shake on a deal and then change it, contract or no contract.

I didn't understand the Cordelia/Connor relationship either, but come on, it was explained that Jasmine took over Cordelia's body/mind when the gang did the spell to bring back their memories at the end of 'Spin the Bottle' right? So it was Jasmine all along, basically twistedly getting Connor and Cordelia to give her a body so that she could..birth..herself.. *and breathe*.

This was interesting, but please, nerds at conventions who are asking questions of celebrities: KEEP YOUR QUESTIONS SHORT. I've been to a few of these things, and the people who ask the questions always end up rambling for five minutes--sometimes they barely even have a question. They seem to think they're having an intimate conversation with the celebrity, except they don't even want to hear what they have to say. Just ask your question and sit down and stop wasting everyone's time.

Wow, that's the first time I'd seen Charisma speak in public (I don't really watch a lot of fan stuff). She's very straight forward, and her story about her return was a fascinating insight.

She is sooo charming. I didn't aprove of season 4 handle of Connor/Cordelia. I mean they could have found another way for the beast to come and I don't know. It could have injured Cordelia, so she could stay out of the show during Charisma's pregnancy. I love the fact that after everything she and Joss made peace about it all. Cordelia had a wonderful way out of the show... besides we do have her back in the comics. So, I'm happy! I hope she and Joss work together again.

Also, wow. So shitty that they didn't even tell her she wasn't coming back. I hope they're better now so that Charisma Carpenter can be another Jossverse production!

I LOVE Charisma, she's always been my favorite actress, and I want to give her so many props for telling it how it was. I hated how she was portrayed in the 4th season, and even though I enjoyed the 5th, it was never the same without her, and her last episode was still to this day my favorite because it was a bittersweet reminder of how amazing she is, and how much the show was so much better with her on it! :)

Charisma is AMAZING, pure and simple! Love to Julie Benz too, amazing too!

One question - which "new box-set" is she talking about when she says she did a commentary with Joss? Has there been a re-release of the complete series DVD box-set or was this for something else?

I believe she is referring to the complete box set that has all seasons in one small box with extras. Not sure when it came out, but its about $120 or so at Best Buy.

I think they messed up her character earlier than season 4... the whole "now she's a wise champion" change in season 3 was really stupid.. and the idea that her and Angel were suddenly in love made no sense either

YES. totally agree with this. she spent most of season 2 with gunn and wes, and while she was doing the work of the powers, she was still a self involved character. but season 3 didn't make sense. suddenly she was this all knowing person who only cared about angel's feelings. up to that season she was always the person to tell angel how dumb he was being
