I'm sad to see her horrid technique. When you apply vibration a drum head at *two* seperate points at exactly the same time the propagating vibrations actually cancel each other out when they meet in the middle. We [percussionists] call this a "double stop" and we tend to avoid it like the plague- as evidence in this video, it is a *horrid* sound.
What this "drummer" needs to do, in order to let this drum REALLY sing is called a "Flam". One mallet should hit the drum head before the other.

@salishbeauty Maybe, and it would be cause for concern if they were real owl and eagle feathers. There are folks who paint feathers to symbolically represent eagle and owl feathers. They can be quite lovely when well done.
