I find their music strongly infulenced by Jimmy Hendrix..... back when music was valuable. Like those guys give a small light in the end of a dark tunnel full of of musical Rap/Pop/whatever that is Monstrosities ! (sry for some possible grammar mistakes I got exited)
@ROyaltm100 No, Dan is strongly influenced by Junior Kimbrough, if you listen to Thickfreakness and certain riffs in other albums you can hear some Junior.
@RevGuitarzilla79 I have an idea, why don't you shut up and we'll just keep on blasting those riffs 'till were deaf. Who cares if they're easy: this is music, not sports.
It's not the fact that these riff are easy. it's the fact that they're good. The Beatles have some of the simplest guitar riffs and their songs are amazing
the live version is better than the album version...that says everything about the quality of them. so awesome how 2 guys can rock a whole concert hall
Honestly, I've been listening to the Black Keys since they put out Thickfreakness (which I still think is arguably their best album), and am so happy that they are finally getting some of the recognition they deserve. They are two of the hardest working, most dedicated musicians around and have clawed their way to the top. And if you don't agree, fuck you.
@HannesGlans I was just joking you scoundrel. I know it's human to make mistakes and OBVIOUSLY pat carney's drumming is superior to meg's but the point is that meg white is very consistent with her drumming and would never mess up like that. When you think that meg is screwing up she isn't, she's deliberately speeding up or slowing down to fit jack's tempo.in conclusion, fuck you Hannes Glans. A stupid scoundrel name for a cunt face
@HannesGlans nah i think it is deliberate. sorry for hating on your name I guess i overreacted. hannesglans is a pretty cool name now i think about it.
I am of the opinion it's always seemed to me that comparing Jack White to Dan Aurbach is like comparing Eric Clapton to Jimi Hendrix. Jack is just missing a certain element that Dan possess in abundance. The White Stripes have produced some of the best music of the last 20 years, but nothing as inspired as the Keys.
@TaffyRaphie i really hope you give me premission to use that line, going to put together my recordings and make a little album soon. i want that title

If God would make a party at his house he would take The Black Keys as the live band and whole heaven will rock for three nights without sleeping.

Kick Ass! You have to be an idiot if you don like this song and band.
Wish I discovered earlier. WISH they would play in south FLA.

It's a good thing they added a bass player to the mix, for despite their awesome power as a duo, something still feels missing.

I hate when people compare the keys and the stripes. It's similar music and that's it. SIMILAR, nothing more
slickdrummer 1 year ago
the timing gets really messed up at 1:45. meg white would never let that happen haha
dirtycoffee22 1 year ago
@dirtycoffee22
Meg wouldn't be able to play Pat's drumming in the first way.
And if you wan't to lissen to mistakes, take your time to lissen to some of white stripes live. Then you will hear Meg screw up real bad.
But I love The White stripes, and The Black Keys.
And I think you should shut up, because it's human to make mistakes.
