2:05 – 3:10 is the reason why i loved playing a pure mage character... so many options how to get rid of an enemy instead of boring slashing all over... archery is only a bit better

also the fact of non recharging mana is quite fine... it actually makes you think which spell to use, instead of casting everything

only problem with morrowind is that the game becomes quite easy later is game, but you can use LevelUp Reduced mod, which slows down skill gaining by 25%, 50% or 75%, simple and awesome

Okay Morrowind was (and still is) on of the best RPG's around. Stop comparing it to Oblivion I have played all of the Elder Scrolls and here is my chart....

Morrowind is NOTHING without Tribunal or Bloodmoon! Those extra packs got assasins, werewolves, (even a werewolf quest were you become a werewolf).

it looks great, but the graphics are hard to swallow... i like REALLY old games though... like DOOM... i guess the bridge to better graphics is an ugly road. i think i like older graphics because it's easier to imagine what the characters and scenery ACTUALLY look like. for me, these graphics make the characters and stuff look ugly.

I've beaten both and I think the only problem with Oblivion was the bugs in certain quests. I don't think either one is clear cut better. But oblivion was easier to get into and enjoy without playing for 20 hours. Morrowind has aged a bit since release 8 years ago, the engine has aged. I can't wait to see EWS 5 though hope it comes out next year =-D.

Morrowind was and always will be the better of Oblivion vs. Morrowind. It combined one of the most stunning stories, gameplay, AND graphics into one game. Kids these days wouldn't give a damn about gameplay, naturally. But, having spent hours and hours playing both of these games, I can say with complete honesty that Morrowind was the crown jewel of the ES series.

I preferred when a small amount of people played elder scroll. Morrowind challenged the player in every way. Character development was hard to start with and there was no fast travel. Hopefully with the huge success of Oblivion, Bethesda will use it's profits to go back to the it's Elder Scroll roots and create an amazing game.

Sure, count on that.

After the success Oblivion (and later Fallout 3) was on consoles they will stick to that, make it simple and easy but visually stunning (in other words, make it for retards and be sure the only thing they notice is the graphics).

Look at whats happening with Call of Duty saga, the Modern Warfare was an absolut success on consoles and now the PC version is just a port in almost everything, even on the fucking multiplayer!.

Sadly, that is the future of PC videogames.

Morrowind was far better than oblivion. This was because Oblivion became far to mainstream and sacrificed Depth and storyline so it could be presented to more causal gamer which kind of effected it as a RPG . I still love Oblivion and really hope they bring morrowind's authentic gameplay and Oblivions engine to the sequel.

lakristianla and Genstafa I have to disagree with you. Morrowind has a lot more choices. I know its not the best graphics or storyline, but the items are worth more to the merchants. There are more items, more artifacts, and more factions to join. And it has a vast enviorment. Morrowind is the better game if you change the dialogue system, combat system, and the graphics.

@brandon2700 hey i have to disagree with you on the part about not having the best storyline. After years of playing videogames i've seen none with a more fulfilling and emersive storyline than Morrowind.  Not even Oblivion had a good enough story to beat Morrowind. It's just my oppinion, but that's what i think.

Indeed, Oblivion is a shame considering it's an Elder Scrolls game. Morrowind and Gothic 3 are the best RPGs ever made in their category. To sum up (even if it's difficult) I have never seen more immersive and "realistic" than Gothic 3, a pure wonder, with a hard and authentic gameplay, whereas Morrowind is really fascinating by his universe and bewitching by his atmospheres (with one of the best soundtrack ever made), having a great RPG system too. So a deep and real or an elating experience...

L4D isnt all that good in my opinion. The weapons... are kinda small part of the game .... Is Morrowind any good? I got like ... 4 friends who have it. Tho after 2 weeks they started talkin about airsofts and they didn't say a word about morrowind, which makes me suspicious.

Yeah, if you never played them before, i would recommend both, they both have the amazing choises and character possibilities, now i never completed ANY of them though, but i used alot of itme on both, just doing the small parts.
