Yeah, the Brompton folds into a much smaller size at twice the price of a build to order Tikit. I think the new models from Bike Friday are what I have been looking for. You can get one ready to go and/or order one to fit your size/weight specific needs.
Thanks for this informative video. I currently ride a Brompton M3E, but think the Tikit will be the next bike I buy. Nice to see something of this superb quality still made in the USA, too!
@blkBBW - The Tikit can be built for up to 260lbs; stock models max at 220 for the large, 190 for small and medium. They have other models that can be built for heavier riders, but they're more "packable" than "foldable" -- fine to put in a suitcase for a plane ride, but not something you'd want to fold and unfold to get on the bus.
@dirtywork123 - as I understand it, the twiddly bit allows the Model T to be built as a cheaper and slightly lighter alternative to the quicker-to-fold hyperfold tikits.
This bike is designed for a slightly different market - you can also ride 50+ miles on it in comfort and with some configs, keep up with road bikes. Thank you for watching!

How heavy is it, can we see it carried folded? How stable is it and what's the maximum rider weight?

Great Bike. Does the chain still fall off on the 2008 model?(unless following the technique shown in some other videos on youtube).
ans why is there a twiddly bit?

Chain doesn't fall off any tikit, new or old, unless you make a heroic effort to do.

Not a bad bike, but the famous Brompton folding bike, made in England, is a lot better...and folds to a much smaller size.
