Can anyone who's seen Louise Dearman and Rachel Tucker as Elphie and Glinda on the West End PLEASE reply/pm me and tell me what their like in the parts (especially Louise as Glinda. From what I've heard of her on youtube, I'm not a fan XP). Thanks!
@Merina2222 Well I've seen them 3 times and they are amazing! Louise's Galinda is incredible she belts it out in NOMTW and in Popular she really gets everyone laughing, she lunges across the stage and it is hilarious! Rachel's defying gravity is equally amazing! she normally riffs it up and gets the audience screaming x
@Merina2222 They, are incredible. And i can't believe you don't think much of Louise, her voice is flawless, and her character and acting is amazing! And rachel is beyond words, both vocally and acting-wise.
I urge you to listen to a recent recording of Louise's NOMTW, her voice is just incredible.
@Merina2222 Belive me! Louise's Glinda's the best I've ever heard! And not just vocally, but her acting's incredible too! She's so funny!!! And of course Rachel's amazing too!!! Worth to see it with them! :D
@Merina2222 Louise is the ideal Glinda! I love her because, despite all preconceptions, she brings depth to Glinda's role. Most of the actresses I've seen on youtube portray a stupid, spoiled Glinda with an annoying squeeky voice. Kristin is an exception, of course. Louise is candid, innocent... portrays a girl who seem to be shallow and full of herself, but you feel that deep in her heart, that girl is good and generous... Not to mention that Louise's voice is very mellow and rich.
@howbrightweshine I was at the first performance when she did the growl and at the stage door i told her that it was amazing and that she should keep it, and ever since she has done the growl, i love her lol x
@sorafsfd the riff was amazing, plus she told us at the stage door that she ahs a really bad throat and probably wont be doing the matinee the day after x
@xamy222x I wasn't sure if it was just the quality of the recording, but I guess it was her voice. Although I'm sure it wasn't intentional, I kind of like it
From this audio you can really hear how much she has developed in the role!! Its a great version here and she some how she made it better!!!

i really like the high f on 'defying'.. she sounds like she just manages to push it out and its really nice.
the 'its mee' is really nice i thought.
that second bring me down is just becoming more and more effortless.
and her notes are just crystal clear <3

She's improved so much, when she first did it her "look to the western sky" was off key. but now it's fine =)

@asswhole239 It sounds like a growl, I'm not surprised she took the next performance off though, it sounds painful.
