  • I just looked this up and found out that Michael first sang this in 1970 and Lou Christie did it in 1974. I always thought Lou Christie did it first.

  • The images that you've chosen go perfectly with the mood and lyrics. I never could save up enough lunch money to buy this album way back when, so seeing and hearing it in this venue is incredible. I remember at the time that my grandmother said she used to sing this song when she was young--in the 1930-40's. Anyway, she loved this version best, and whenever I hear it, it reminds me of her. Thanks for a terrific pairing of images and song.
