  • I had a three legged deer/doe who was injured as a yearling - lost her fron leg

she durvived 7 years and every spring would bring her faws up near our house/salt lick etc. one of the little males would follow me around like a puppy.

On the 8th year, she didn't return - I assume she had just 'passed away' or a predator killed her. Her name was Lucy and I miss her

  • You are exactly right. The deer was born with all 4 legs. Someone shot the left front off at the knee when it was younger. He hops around on 3 legs.

  • Shot? can i have some proff it was shot off. i guess its possible more likly a barb wire fence...or even a high tencle fence...or a car there are many other options why that deer has 3 legs than to blame the hunters

  • @tlgentry24 how do u know he was not hit by a car

  • stop the video at 34 secondsand ou will see the forth leg

  • stop the video at :44 seconds, you will see the stubby leg

  • mount it.

  • When he tried to chase a doe in heat he would fall down... would get back up and go again and fall again. If he tried to go too fast he would fall. Not sure how he survived this long with all the predators.

  • so can he still run fast?
