  • i love the classic sci-fi films

  • Loved sci-fi my whole life. This movie included. Decided to build my own giant killer robot. Check my vids, you may find it interesting. Nice to see they still make those. It would be cool to see a zeroid reproduction.

  • Blade Runner isn't the only film that created a great influence on future films of the sci-fi genre. Stanley Kubrick's 2001: A Space Odyssey is the one that put the most definate standard into the genre itself, along with that it came out in 1968, 12 years years after Forbidden Planet.

  • @Chutultu, I won't argue with 2001: A Space Odyssey. At the time I was trying hard to remember all the past influential science fiction movies in which advanced technology played as much as another character, versus those sci-fi movies relying predominantly on drama, such as, Fahrenheit 451, or, The Lathe of Heaven. In this perspective of robots, we're looking for those past sci-fi movies that featured heavily on robots, androids, cyborgs, even advanced or sentient machines.
