Kage I believe that what you say is true,mainly because it IS. God wants you to believe in a religion it doesn't have to be christianity, or catholiscism, etc. but so long as you treat others with respect and love. You're good to go

the quran was referring to the jews and christians of the past, whilst there scriptures holy torah and injeel was still intact, original and unchanged. but now all the scriptures have been altered thus in essence you can't actually follow it, the only revelation sent down that has not been untouched is the holy quran, revealed over 140o years ago. ir is one of the promises of Allah and is mentioned in the quran that the quran shall be preserved till the end of days

I belive that quote was refering to people in general. Anyone who do good deeds and belive in God should go to heaven,and i belive that even people who didnt belive in God but still do good deeds will go to heaven
On other hand, someone who belives in God but do bad deeds will go to hell
I think its simple as that
I also think that there will be different "levels" of hell so not all people will suffer equaly, they will suffer/enjoy according to their deeds

One of main teachings of Islam is that God does not need anything from us, he does not depend on us or anything
so why would he want to be "recognised"
He ordered us to do certain things because it is for our own good
And to answer your question, yes we have control over our lives, we just cant control some mayor events, but we have free will and can do whatever we want

Well the so called Leaders of these religions, instead of bickering, & arguing, perhaps if they could put their differences aside, maybe they could take the Knowledge they have, & find out what really happened in those times, instead of keeping us separated, & at each others throats. Islam as well as Christianity, & Judaism has been infiltrated, & the wrong information has been told to people. These books say to Treat each other with Respect despite our differences.
