from my experiences it is slightly heavier than XP but not nearly as bad as vista although the RAM requirements are up a little bit it will run faster on old or slower systems.

yes you can run 4 gb of ram on 32bit, but you wont be able to use more than ca. 3 gigabytes. If you've got a graphic card too, the Ram you will be able to use is:

Actually more specifically a 32-bit OS will support 4GB of total memory...Thats including Memory from your video card, mobo bios memory, and Standard system RAM. so it will show 3.5 if you have a video card with 512 MB VRAM. My build before I upgraded showed 2.25GB since my Video card had 1.75 GB of VRAM. so it does depend on your video card EXACTLY how much will show up.
