good luck with this. in my experience, people have been so thoroughly brainwashed, that the task of selling unschooling is almost insurmountable. i can't even imagine the looks i'd get a barbeques if i suggest uncollege! that's before we get to the regulatory constraints
I have always resisted the norm. I refused to do homework in school but I learned on my own and worked from the age of 11. I dropped out of High School when I was 18 but traveled on my savings and continued to learn.I knew college was not for me by the age of 14,allowing me to keep my options open. I was lucky to have a supportive family who allowed me to be me, though I knew they didn't approve. I am 30 now and the first of three generation not to go to college, though I am the most successful.
