Thanks for posting this footage looks beautiful. Quick question (and maybe daft) is this auto focusing in this sequence? Couple of times when you pan and stop it appears to tighten focus and blow out the background really nicely was this you or the camera / lens? Also whats it like in low light? Thanks again, great footage - looking to shoot a feature with this camera so any advice appreciated.
@jakeycboyo - I have to admit, the sometimes-awkward focus is the result of me pulling it! The camera was set up for handheld, and each user pulled their own focus. I have seen candle-light-only footage from this camera, and it is amazing. We will be shooting a feature shortly, and first looked at the Panasonic AF100, then the PMW-F3, and then the NEX-FS100. We're now back to the F3, as it offers both HDMI & HD-SDI out, and up to 4:4:4 color-space if you use an external recorder.
Hi Matt - that is a great question. Honestly, I cannot remember (I was too focused on trying the camera). I do know that it was not one of the (three) Sony-branded primes that are available with one of the F3 packages. Another person at the open house - as I recall - had brought a set of Nikon primes. It may have been one of those.
