  • Dude's really decent covers.. but , why on this planet.. would anybody attempt Gary's voice?

    NO !

    From

    Canada

  • the best rush cover band ever tks for posting

  • Great bass sound!!!!

  • Cool video

  • great band with highlarious vocals

    spot on guitar solo

  • massive drumkit!! how long does it take you to set up that

  • @Keplaffintech Yeah too bad he does not play all the parts... I mean seriously, if you have the balls to tribute Rush, you a better have an awesome band; after all Rush is 'the musician's band'! These guys do have heart though... not bad at all.. even good, but not great. Wonder what the sound like now if this vid is 2 years old.

  • This really ...really is bad !

  • By far the best volcals i've heard for this tough song, Nice Job!

  • when the vocals first came on my immediate thought was that it was a prerecorded thing, but wow. im VERY impressed.

  • sophiegromit , you're just a FAN, and that's it. LMAO.

  • BLOW ME '25x100'!

  • My God... have they succeeded in cloning GEDDY LEE???!!! I bet this guy's shit smells exactly like Geddy's as well!!!

  • This is great entertainment, and it helps to bring loads of attention to our RUSH tribute videos. Please keep it going!

  • The 'Geddy clone' looks like a fucking FREAK! LMAO!!!

  • good job- esp. on the vox. Almost "All there World's A Stage" going there....

  • Thanks for the feedback. These videos are several years old now, and we'll be posting some more recent clips very soon.

  • LOOK AT ALL THE PEOPLE LEAVING!!! LMFAO!!! I'm the biggest RUSH fan, but being in a 'tribute band' is SO unoriginal and masturbatory!!!

  • Heh heh, you talk about "masturbatory" and then feature Yngwie Malmsteen videos in your profile? Would that be an example of "original and masturbatory"?

If you've never been to B.B. King Blues Club, the people walking past the camera are staff, waiters, the headlining band and crew, people finding seats, etc. We opened for the phenomenal Zappa 'tribute' band, Project Object, and nobody in the audience was going to miss their show.

  • Malmsteen is a world-class, ORIGINAL rock guitar player, like Lifeson. Many rock fans love both Yngwie and Alex, and frankly many other technical and emotive axemen as well. 'Tribute' bands are SOOO passe and 80's! LMAO!

  • If Malmsteen was so "original," his style wouldn't sound like a ham-fisted attempt at shoehorning Bach into 80s metal, all the while lacking the nuance and emotion of the Baroque-era composer.

Is "many rock fans love Yngwie" your best argument against the masturbatory guitarist label? Many people love porn, too; there is just no accounting for bad taste.

  • Your opinion (stupid one, at that). Fact is, save Blackmore, the 'neo-classical' sub-genre was not explored much back when Yngwie achieved notoriety. Combining classical AND hard rock was VERY original and progressive, and his playing was VERY expressive and emotive! Talk about 'bad taste', you're in a 'tribute band'... the epitomy of 'cheesiness'! I'm surprised you don't sport a mullet as well!

  • Malmsteen is nothing but a wank-fest. Rush pounds that ham into the ground. LMAO. One note tho: The guitar solo isn't happenin dude.

  • Apples (Malmsteen) and oranges (Lifeson- RUSH) you dolt. If you don't like neo-classical hard rock/metal, that's fine. But Malmsteen remains a world-class, highly original, phenomenal player. Now on your knees and blow me!

  • Wow, like your other posts, you resort to petty childishness. Grow the fuck up already. Malmsteen can do scales, and that's where it ends. There's no feeling in his playing dude. Wake up and smell the Nabob.

  • It's not petty childishness... it's talking down to your level. There is tons of feeling in YJM's playing, but musically stunted retards like you just don't hear it! He is a highly emotional and lyrical player with scads of feeling within his stylistic range.

  • LMFAO. Booyah!!!

  • Until you have no videos of your own, shut the fuck up n00b.

  • Drop dead LOSER! Or HOSER, if you're Canadian!

  • You know what I find humorous? The fact that sophiegromit calls this "masturbatory", when in fact Malmsteen does nothing but masturbatory fret dancing himself. Every scale is the same crap played over & over again, only he changes key.

Lifeson, on the other hand literally paints a picture the way he plays and every note and chord had a profound, artistic statement. Sophiegromit, you my dear friend have no clue what you are spouting off about.

  • LOL! I'm laughing because as an ardent, longtime, rabid RUSH fan, i've been telling people for years that 'Lifeson paints sonic pictures' with his stylistic and classy playing, just as you mentioned. I listen to many genres of great guitarists, Yngwie included. He's not for everyone, but his genius has been recognized by legions of musicians and music fans worldwide. So who doesn't have a clue here???

  • I give up on your childish attutude dude. You're HOPELESS.

  • Calm down child !!!

  • *yawn* ....Whiny comments like this should be removed.

  • Why remove them? It's more fun to watch the trolls hang themselves.

  • Yea, you're right...LMAO. Rock on dudes!!! \m/

  • These guys really, really, REALLY need to come to Detroit !!!!!!!!!!!! Come to Detroit! Come to Detroit! Come to Detroit! Come to Detroit! Come to Detroit! Come to Detroit! Come to Detroit! Come to Detroit! Come to Detroit! Come to Detroit! Come to Detroit! Come to Detroit!
  • Really Good Job!!! I'm in a Rush Tribute myself (See Visions:The Trees) so I know what it takes to pull this off! You guys have authentic instruments and tones, great vocals! Poop on all those critics/neg comments! To the guy who said there's no money in it...who said we do it for the money? WE LOVE RUSH!

Scott (obbus) from Visions: A Tribute To Rush

  • Great job!!!!!!!!! I played this song many years ago. Great bass playing and singing!!!! I was happy just to play the bass parts. Jam on.... Rush rocks.... Do you guys Digital Man? funkbassist dot com

  • incredible work! i was impressed w/ the singer! but great job to every 1!

  • Guys- no real money in tribute bands unless they are identicle in terms of looks and sound. Do you play originals?

  • you're a really good tribute band!

  • ok dont get me wrong you guys are great but im A HUGE RUSH FAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and i didnt like that you guys sped it up and the drummer changed it up too much good performance tho.

  • Sorry, I wanted to type "Great" vocals, not Get ...

  • Get vocals! You don't hear Geddy singing high like that anymore...

  • Excellent point--that's excatly why he sings it in the classic style. We perform songs from every era of RUSH, so the newer material is sung in Geddy's modern vocal style.

  • Nothing better than Monte Python and a good ol Rush tune, and done well!! Great job!

  • Thanks again for your feedback!

  • Nice job. You guys are awesome.

  • This is awesome. The instrumentals are done very well, and although the singing comes very close to capturing the way Geddy used to sing, it seems to be a little fast in parts, or maybe I'm just being picky. Lol, anyways, good job. This is the best Rush cover I've seen so far. You guys really have some talent here.

  • great job!!! come to peru please!!!

  • Rickenbacker!

  • Why does anyone bother to sing this like Geddy used to sing it? Are you trying to sing the song exactly as it is on COS? I think it's great to do the song, but what's the deal with doing a Geddy imitation?

I really think you guys play well, but I am getting concerned with folks playing Rush songs as they are on a record, and not taking the songs further, perhaps to a level they deserve. The composers have already done their version.

  • As a tribute band, our goal is to capture the essence of RUSH's studio recordings in a live concert setting. We leave it up to cover bands to take the songs further if they so desire.

I've yet to hear anyone else cover old-style RUSH in the way that Geddy Lee used to sing. Not even Geddy himself will sing much of RUSH's oldest material any longer.

  • absolutely fantastic sound and incredible vocals. is the vocalist singing thru a voice modifier? great stuff...........

  • Nope, that's his unmodified voice. This is the direct soundboard audio taken from the show, and it really sounds a bit dry. We thought the vocal mix could have used more ambience. Thanks for your comments!
