Apparently he's from Bangladesh. He says this when Barney asks him in one of the very first episodes if he had every done it with a Lebanese girl. Ranjit says, "I'm from Bangladesh." Barney then says, "Are the women hot there?" At which Ranjit replies, "Here's a picture of my wife." Barney looks at it and says, "...a simple no would have sufficed." XD Ranjit is awesome in this series, i love the episodes that he's in, his eyes when the window is being rolled up are priceless XD
