This is a language that takes decades learning.(ok maybe thats a little bit of an exaggeration) and you kind of have to teach it to yourself, unless you have like a professor or something. But I don't see why not, if you have the time, you should at least give it a try.

NextLaker11's right, though, it's easier to teach it to yourself if you don't have a legitimate teacher to teach it to you--if you're determined enough, you can memorize as much as you need. Start with basics you can use references on, like Sephiroth's theme and the Harry Potter spells, or any other small Latin phrases you know. Then branch out and look up new phrases.
