Much as I love the British R&B bands of the sixties - especially the Pretty Things - they just couldn't be this cool. They never learned the importance of allowing the music space, just a frantic thrash.
I got very, very lucky a few years ago in Nashville and got to meet Bo Didley, get his autograph ("Rock On!", i think) and ask him about something he said earlier during the concert. I (& my wife who didn't know who he was) waited around wayyy after the concert was over and finally the black (African American?) man guarding the hallway to his dressing room (on the right as I remember) said, "I don't see nothin." I said, "Huh?", then finally figured it out... Thank you very much! ... rip
Bo, an ex-boxer who still knocked everybody out, my one regret is never seeing him, seen Jerry Lee, Chuck, been to Sun and Gracelands but never saw Bo, anyhow Bo thanks for you left legacy of film and recordings.
MrJonesywales, and a drummer who knew the correct way to hold his sticks,a great performer, saw Jerry, saw Chuck,, been to Sun etc.,but regret never having seen Bo with that beautiful female guitarist,
@MrJonesywales Yea, I was thinkin the same thing, A little jarring with all the hate today to think we made music together once...not meanin no insult, (seein as how I'm an old cracker), but she was fine, too...I loved Bo's music when I was a kid, BB King, Fats Domino, Little Richard, and of course Chuck Berry...The whole Beatles , Brit invasion thing left me cold. I stepped off into CCR.
Anyone know what kind of guitars Bo and the girl-guitarist are playing?
